The vagina is part of the female external reproductive anatomy that performs various functions and roles. Most people know the primary functions of the Vagina, which include sex and sexual pleasure, menstruation, pregnancy, childbirth, as well as urinary functions. It is, however, not uncommon for some women to develop bad habits that present implicit harm and danger to this body part.
So, whether you are trying a new sexual or health care experiment or simply unaware, here are some of the stuff that don’t belong in your vagina:
Douches: The use of water or other cleansing solutions to flush and wash the insides of the vagina. This is sometimes referred to as deep cleaning. However, this can wash out the good bacteria in the vagina. Douching can also alter the optimum PH of the vagina leading to infection and inflammation.
Steam: Vaginal steaming is another technique some use to cleanse and tighten the vagina by exposing it to herb-infused steam. This burns and irritate the vaginal mucosa and also kills the healthy flora and alters the PH.
Fruits and Vegetables: Carrots, Bananas, Cucumbers, etc are often used as sex toys. They have lots of bacteria and irritants that can cause infections and inflammations, causing injuries and compromising the PH balance.
Electric Toothbrush: The use of electric brush vibration in vaginal stimulation has become commonplace for thrill seekers. Sticking the brush head inside the vagina causes abrasion, scraping and irritation of the vaginal wall. Bacteria from the toothbrush can cause infection.
Vaseline and Oil-based products: They are commonly used as lubricants but can trap bacteria and all kinds of dirt inside the vagina that will result in infections and inflammation.
Hair Removal Creams: They can sometimes contain harsh and harmful chemicals that can cause burns and irritation. Make sure they don’t get inside your vagina.
Hairbrush Handle: This is a hard object that should not be inserted in your vagina. The desire to use it for pleasure can cause severe trauma inside your vaginal wall. It also will introduce all kinds of bacteria into the vagina resulting in infection.
Whipped Cream and Chocolate syrup: These are frequently used in foreplay. However, they should not get inside your vagina. They can irritate your vaginal walls and alter the chemical balance.
Unclean sex toys: Dirty and cheap sex toys will introduce dirt, irritants and harmful bacteria into your vagina to cause bad infections and inflammations. Avoid low-quality toys made of low quality materials that are porous and difficult to clean or sanitized properly.
Sharp Objects: Sharp objects can cut and damage the delicate vaginal walls and the cervix. This can result in bleeding inside the vagina, resulting in pain and inflammation and infection.
There you have it. They are some of the unhealthy habits that can cause varying degrees of harm and injury to your vagina.
